Well I got up this morning to go get a car wash, and fill her with gas for the coming week, got to the local chain fuel stop, 87 oct. was 3.049 a gal., 89 oct. was 3.349 a gal, & (wait for it) 93 oct. was 3.199 a gal, can't understand why but sounds good to me, they also forecast that prices will have dropped .50 a gal before Thanksgiving, now there's something to be thankful for. This is in the SC upstate.

Only $3.99.9/10 here. I still drive one. I just don't go out to eat as much. Love you gas prices.

I just dump a $100 bucks or so in the work van every week and turn in the receipt. :) The wife's Town and Country takes about a tank a month just like the Marauder, and the Escort sees a tank every six months or so. No worries here!

Commute about 50 miles daily RT M-F. About $80+ to fill the Aviator/week. Hope prices drop as predicted. Can't hand the receipt to anyone else. (except Mr. Man).;)

Enjoy the price break while you can. If this hurricane Sandy maintains its strength & makes landfall close to the petroleum refineries on the East coast, where they would have to shut them down temporarily, gasoline supplies would be affected & prices will increase as a result. :bigcry: :depress:

When a certain someone feels the "sting" of criticism to a painfull level, the free market reacts.... Why? Because the people who operate in this part of the free market, don't like change...... They like to stay below the radar of consumer frustration.....

The past 4 years have been very good to market makers/futures traders in oil & gas....... If Obama gets re-elected they anticipate more of the same... If Romney gets elected, they don't know how his presidency will effect them.....

Sacrifice short term profits for a possibility of 4 more years of skyrocketing fuel prices is a no brainer for these traders......

Gas around here is
$3.39 for 87
$3.57 for 89
$3.99 for 93

I've never seen such a price gap before between 87 and 93.

Sunoco ultra has dropped almost 30 cents/gallon in south joisey.

Any clue about the cause/reason for such benevolence from Big Oil?

I hear ya! Dang oil guys lowering the fuel prices just in time for the election cause they want Obama back!

Around here gas is $1.13 per litre which is just a tad above $4.00 US per US gallon. Cheapest it's been around here for a long time, cheaper than in some places stateside! Down from $1.35 not long ago! Cheaper than some places in Alberta! Very unusual.

I know what you are up to you scoundrels, just after my vote!

Winter blend is starting to get mixed in.

We have no winter blend where I shop, but the lower prices in this area are due to the tank farms just 12 miles east of here.

Is winter mix real?

I always thought that this was BS.

I'm really surprised that none of you thought it was odd that 93 was cheaper than 89.

Wow, gas price drop just before the election. Is everyone feeling good about our President now. He wants to take it to $8.00 a gallon to make electric cars more appealing. No drilling on Federal land, stop Canadian pipe line and require 53 MPG new cars by 2025.

Apparently nobody remembers the massive drop when GWB was on his way out?

It's not like this is a freak thing that is exclusive to Obama's presidency, nor does it have anything to do with his incumbency.
