Great stuff! Most of the Fords were '65, though I did see 1 '64. All the Marauders were '64s, and I think the breezeway that spun out was a '63. How many times do you get to see a Marauder air-borne?

That's a great video. Love the #5 car getting airborne and keeps on motoring.

It's also a time when stock cars looked bad ass.

For me unfortunately NASCAR and several other sports I no longer watch. Too much Money on the line has made them pass so many rules they are boring and I can't relate to them.

Yes, these were Stock Cars with the same body lines as what was in the show rooms. The current NASCAR vehicles I can not tell the vehicles makes unless they say Chevy or Toyota on them.
In this vintage race, you can tell the difference between the Chevys, Marauders, and Ford galaxies.

Looks like the race was dominated by Ford products .... first Mercury, then Ford. Not too many shots of Chevy's... only 2-3 in the entire 6 minute clip. None of MOPAR that I can recall.

Yeah, I remember the '64 Ford too and me a '63 with the round taillights. Miss those days when you could tell the makes and models apart from 1/4 mile.

I agree. Too homogenized.

1st it was Indy cars. Then NASCAR. I don't watch either any more. Loved them both back in the day.
