Snake Oil, IMO, but there are some that claim you'll see improved performance; if there is any, it ain't much.
What other mods have you done to the car?

While I wouldn't call it snake oil, it's probably the least productive use of funds on the "cheap mods" list.
Mary won one and I installed it on Phoebe a few years ago...felt like there was a small gain in the mid-range, but it might have been a cool day. Put the money toward underdrive pulleys...those will make a bigger difference.

I seem to remember that they actually work much better on a SC'd engine. I saw very little from mine. Too lazy to pull it off. Have to figure out what happened to my blower fan. Cars usually put up by now, but its permanently coming south with me on the 18th.

Pauls HP and others have shown a small dyno gain, thats why they sell.
MMR Intake Spacer for 99/01 Cobra and ALL Mach OneThis spacer better distributes airflow to the engine by raising the upper intake hat and increasing volume, Pick up 10-12 HP! Forced induction applications run safer and more powerfull due to better airflow distribution. Includes gasket and new Hardware.

The HVAC blower?
If so, most likely the BCM. Try tapping it and it may start working for you.

MMR also states you'll gain 15rw with their throttle body. Never believe their hp claims.

I just put kooks on and JPC is having a dyno day so when my intake spacer I'll see if I can do a before/after and test it out. U/D will be put on beforehand too.

When I had money to burn I did a before/after test with one. I picked up 5-6rwhp and about 10ft-lbs. Same dyno a week of time between. The gains were all midrange. I think up top it 5000+ RPM it was same.

FYI, longer intake runners = more top end...top is not what we need in these cars...
Damn it...said that wrong....
Longer intake runners = more LOWER end...

Totally take off top cover, clean it etc, clean the lower. throw on spacer and gasket, then connect EGR to top cover then slide top cover over hold in place then drop in the top cover bolts I think is the best way to install the spacer.

Pretty sure you're wrong on this ^^^.
Longer runners= low end torque production.
Shorter runners= high end HP.

Yep I posted that backwards... can't even blame it on auto correct!
