This nice weather has me thinking the winter boots should come off and the shiny rims should go back on. But I know as soon as I do that we'll get dumped on with 12" of snow.
It was 50 degrees and sunny today, same yesterday, and supposedly warm all weekend and next week. Supposed to have rain, but no snow in 7-day forecast (which with our weather crew means next to nothing)
Anyone know about predicting weather? Has spring sprung? Certified meteorologists need not apply.
The winter tires are rated to 89 MPH. I want to go faster. :depress:
Thanks,

Hmm, mine are H rated so I still get to go fast.
I know exactly how you feel, I want the shiny shoes back on too but I figure I will wait until they get the first round of pot holes plugged.

A safe bet is June 1:)
You know as soon as you remove them you will get dumped on
Just leave it alone for another month or two:)
You'll be fine

I know it's hard, but when I did run snows, and my wife still does, I never swapped until the first or second week of April. February is not even an option, 2nd week of March is pushing it as well.

Having spent 3 years in Sioux Falls, SD., which isn't to far from the Iowa boarder, I think I'd wait a little longer. One thing was for sure. The locals had a saying there. From the first snow in October, you don't see bare ground again till April. I found that to be true the 3 winters we lived there. Of course the streets and roads were well taking care of, but I wouldn't go jumping the gun to swap out the tires. I just swapped mine back out yesterday here in Delaware, and I'm not sure I shouldn't have waited a few more weeks or so. Time will tell, after all look at the North and South Carloina area this past few days. Luckily that storm satyed south!

For all of those that are still concerned about the weather. Remember it is only March and unless you live in the tropics, I would wait until April. Just my opinion, but I grew up in the Northeast and until the first week of April it can still snow. Who here remembers the Easter blizard about 30 years ago, anyone??

I remember a few years ago having snow on May 1st.
I suppose if it snows and I have my stocks back on I can call in sick . . ..
It was just wishful thinking. I did my first WOT in several days with the snows on - my favorite onramp on the way home from work. Spun the snows twice and it felt good even with the guilt.
I remember when spring fever meant I was anxious to do something other than run my car at higher speeds.

March 31, 1980: Daughter was born, studded snow tires had to be off by March 15. Couldn't make it up a hill to get home. Had to take the long way from the hospital = 1-1/2 hr instead of 20 minutes. Only 7 inches of the white stuff, and it didn't stick around long, but still a possibility in the Northeast this time of year.
