Hey any luck getting 93 octane? Post here.

I was able to fill my tank up with 93 at a BP on Northern Blvd in Little Neck. Fortunately I was around when they got power back Wednesday so they had some pre-storm 93 in the ground. Got a tank full after about a 70 minute wait. Most stations were closed along Nothern Blvd Last night.

Today I was early on a line on Northern in Astoria at an independent across from mobile/pizza hut/Ford dealer, but it was 87 only.

Mostly stations are only selling 87. Wondering where my next tank is coming from any luck finding 93?

Hey! I ended up going to Stamford, CT last night for gas and they definitely had 93. 30 minute drive from the Whitestone Bridge & no line to wait on.

I also heard Jersey's stations are now up and running and back to "normal" with short waits.

Only other reference I can provide is www.gasbuddy.com/sandy (http://www.gasbuddy.com/sandy). They have a list of stations with available gas. People also post up how long the wait is and the choice of gas available. (this is NOT available on the GasBuddy app. Only the website.)

Every station around us in Bayside is closed. Astoria Blvd lines this morning weren't too bad. I heard Long Island is even worse :depress:.

That's awesome. I corroborate the rules for the Mobil in Douglaston. Thanks!

I'll be driving to CT I think.

Yeah, CT for the win.

A friend of mine went to Orange county for gas. She said there weren't any lines there either.

CT is right off of the I-95 though. I think I got off on the 4th or 5th exit... by the WWE headquarters building. You gotta pay tolls too but the gas is cheaper. I filled up with regular at $3.95. But I'd rather do that than wait on a line for 2+ hours! My brother in law was on line from 8AM-5:30PM last Saturday in Whitestone! The attendant kept telling everyone "One more hour!" Luck for him the cops showed up otherwise I think he would've had the $h!T beat outta him from how angry people were getting!

Short lines if any now out by me. I think we are still doing the odd even thing. Haven't had to get gas in the MM's recently. Truck will last me a least a month. P's truck gets gas weekly so I'm sure she will need go juice this weekend. Last I paid was 3.59 for 87 in P's car last week.

Got fresh 93 octane in Calverton yesterday.
The odd even day system all but eliminated the lines in Suffolk county.
They should do that for every storm like this from now on.
I can't tell you how many people complained to me about waiting in lines for as long as 15 hrs - and the kicker is they had as much as 3/4 of a tank while they where waiting for 15 hrs!! I told them they were idiots and that the reason we had lines as long as they were was because people like them were trying to hoard gas!!

Actually it was 89 octane. ;) I would never put 87 octane.

Pulled into a BP station today, rt 17 north, Paramus.

No lines, but no regular. (I was driving my Explorer.)

Didn't matter. I only wanted gas for my lawnmower and power washer.

There are no lines in most of Bergen County BUT.. there is little if any gas above regular. I 3/4 filled with regular, and added some of my race gas 100+ octane to top off the tank. Seems to work fine. I also am not pushing the right pedal very hard or fast. My gas station (delta) says that 93 octane may be 1 month away for ample supplies. The same story at the local Exxon station. I am using my 4 cylinder Mustang until supplies improve. That runs a urine after three beers.

Heavens no! It was the Aviator aka Chip, and I have always used 89 in it. Both Marauders ALWAYS get 93.

City first responders get priority over gas lines. I learned this last week. ;)
