Stubborn Hood

My hood is not popping up far enough for me to get to the latch, and cannot recall what I did to correct this?

Raising the stops up doesn't help either.

Can someone refresh my memory?

Clean and oil the latch......they get dirty and the spring is not strong enough to raise the hood!!:shake:

I use a spray lube on the latch, or you could adjust the hood, IIRC, you had it off, it may need adjusted a smidge. Bring it up, I can adjust it, you can take mine for a ride.

I had similar issues with mine. PM 03mmmonroe, he can help you out.

Duh! Took the radiator cover off and oiled the latch mechanism in several places.

Then worked the hood release many times from inside the car.

Opened and closed the hood a few times and voila!

It pops right up! (TWSS)
