Ecoboosted!

So yesterday my wife's 1996 F150 with 220000 miles decided not to start at the Post Office.
I got it started (probably an IAC) but I didn't have the heart to put anymore energy and $ into it.
I decided it was time to shop. Drove down to KW and started looking at trucks, new. used, whatever.
Nothing tripped her fancy. I told the salesman I was disappointed that they didn't have an Ecoboost new on the lot and he says "we just took one in on trade today but it hasn't been detailed yet. I said let me se it.
DONE! 2012 F150 4 door short bed with 10,000 miles and somebody else already took the depreciation hit.
It has a few bumps and bruises but WTH momma will abuse it anyway.
Awesome power, quiet and 22MPG on the way home.:)

Very nice, I am currently driving an ecoboost Edge as a rental car.
Very impressive power.
But when I buy my own ecoboost engine it will be wrapped in a Focus ST.

I remember the butterflies when we heard Ford was putting a "V6" in a F150. Whata surprise! I wish the new police cars we were getting had that!

I just ordered my wife an explorer sport with the eccoboost. It's scheduled to be built on dec the 5th. I'm excited for her! Sounds like fun!

Its a great engine--just bought a 2012 King Ranch with it and it kicks azz...and it does take 87 Reg----how cool is that!!! WTG Gary!
