I am having this little arguement with some friends of mine right now. They keep saying the Marauder is a high 15 second car (stock) because that's all the mags have been able to get out of them. I said that is wrong...the Marauders the press are using likely have few miles on them and the engines aren't broken in, resulting in horrendous acceleration times. Anyways, could you all do me a favor and put down your Marauder's quarter mile times when bone-stock or close to it? Thanks guys.

P.S. I drive a Caprice and love it, but I've test driven a 2003 and 2004 Marauder and they kick ass.

15.2 sec and a 94MPH trap speed was mine. And they're wrong about ALL the magazines, because I read one mag that published consistent 15.2's w/a 14.9 thrown in as well. but there are a number of factors that can influence that by a atleast a couple tenths one way or the other. I saw one guy w/a Marauder at the track turning 15.6's and 15.4's all day.

times when bone-stock or close to it? I would be in the close to it category, all original parts, reflashed PCM. Time is listed below.

Perfect timing for this thread. I just went to the track for the first time ever today and here is what I got in the 1/4-

3000 miles on the clock

Run 1:
1.369 R/T (Er, I took a quick nap at the light)
2.402 60'
15.120 E/T
94.52 MPH

Run 2:
1.035 R/T
2.442 60'
15.236 E/T
93.91MPH

Weather conditions
~52F
Humidity < 50%

Lots of tire spin on launch. If can get that under control I think I would have a high 14 sec car. Me very happy!

Edit: Forgot to confirm the car is bone stock-except for the Silverstars :P
Edit 2: ...All of the stuff was in the car, a bit over 1/2 tank of BP 93 and my 170lb's.

It sounds to me like you're considering a Marauder to purchase. Incase that's true, my recommendation to you is..go for it. You'll like this car. I now have 10,000 miles on mine, and I never once regreted buying it. It looks great, I constantly get compliments on it, and it goes good for a big car. it also handles excellent for being so heavy.

The only thing that I was dissapointed in was that the car didn't leave rubber from a dead punch.Ofcourse you can always use the brake for a big smoke show, but I was expecting to leave more than a few feet of rubber from a dead punch. But w/a stock Marauder, you won't. Some bone stock Marauders will leave maybe 5 feet of rubber from a dead punch at the very most. But you aren't gonna smoke em at all. And my marauder wouldn't leave any rubber at all unless I used thebrake pedal too. Ofcourse you will if you modify it if that really matters to you.

My car will leave 30-70 feet of rubber w/out using the brake pedal depending on the road surface. But then again, I've spent about 3.5K for modifications too.

But make no mistake about it, even in the factory bone stock configuration, the Marauder is faster than any factory stock Crown Vic or Grand Marquis.

Time to get better friends.

14.56 @ 97.217 mph on a totally stock spec engine, right down to the original air filter, on a cool fall evening. And while my engine has had the driver's side head replaced on warranty, the pre-replacement best of 15.096 in the dead middle of summer afternoon heat pretty much puts things in consistency.

LO3, eh? I've seen nice things done to LO3s in F-bodies. For not much $$, you could get close to TPI performance with them, although I'm still a big fan of the low end WHALLOP of the long tubed runners. (for the benefit of others, the LO3 is the throttle-body injected versus of the 305 Chevy engine)

while tta has me beat...
BEHOLD THE 2ND FASTEST STOCK MARAUDER!
check the sig.
the dyno pull was at like ~500 miles and i'm sure those numbers would be higher
if done now. the 1/4th was done at a much higher mileage...>5000
