That was an unfortunate in the the other post of the man being shot 13 times. Very bad situation that a person died at that extent. People have their good/bad/right/wrong opinions but in that case those were two adults (cop & victim) who made decisions which led to a death. Very unfortunate.

But in this case below. It's totally different.

Do you also blame the car for the drunk driver?

I guess we should ban knives too then. And everything not made of rubber or foam that may be used as a weapon.

China school knife attack in Henan injures 22 children
A man with a knife has wounded 22 children - at least two of them seriously - and an adult at a primary school in central China.

The attack happened at the gate of a school in Chenpeng village in Henan province.

Police arrested a 36-year-old local man at the scene.

Security at China's schools has been increased in recent years following a spate of similar knife attacks in which nearly 20 children have been killed.

The BBC's John Sudworth in Shanghai says many of the attackers have been mentally disturbed men, prompting a debate about the effects of China's recent, rapid social change and the inability of an antiquated hospital system to cope with rising levels of mental illness.

The Associated Press news agency quotes a police officer as saying that this latest attack happened as pupils were arriving for classes.

The agency also quotes a county hospital administrator as saying that the man first attacked an elderly woman, then the children, before being overpowered by security guards.

He added that two of the injured pupils had been transferred to better-equipped hospitals outside the county.

If you leave it alone, will it hurt anyone on it's own accord?

Then it's a tool, like any other.

Wonder why the guy in China didn't use a gun? Very likely didn't have one, that's why.

22 injured vs. 28 dead.

The historical/juvenile fixation that Americans have with guns is downright embarrassing. The worldwide image of the gun-toting violent American is sad but true. And this isn’t just about people dying in the U.S. American gun manufacturers, whose lobbying organization is arguably the most powerful special interest in the country, exports death all over the world. USA! USA! USA!

For every 100 people in the U.S., there are 90 guns.

Let me stop a second while you digest that. It’s a per capita figure from 2007. And if that includes every person who lives in the U.S., including infants, people in comas, paraplegics and people smart enough to realize that having a gun in their home is dangerous, then we’re talking about at least one gun for every adult in the country. Are you freaking kidding me?

The number in China in 2007? Three. Three guns for every 100 people.

Last post from me on this subject, RIP to the victims of this slaughter.

Why do you consider one event a trajedy and the other as 'unfortunate'? Just because one of these events involved a police officer?

You aren't making any sense here kernie. You show that nutters will use whatever weapon they have available, then go off about how it's the guns fault?

RPG's, surface to air missles, why not? You draw the line somewhere right?
