Does anybody know this guy ? I really like the design maybe smaller bulbs or large bulbs but this looks pretty "modern" compared to our plain cop car tail lights. Id like the experiment with these a bit and see how complicated this is. Anybody know what the crown vic tail lights go for at the junk yards ?

I've used resistors to make it flash normal speed. I think I tried one of the electronic flashers on my bike but it didn't work with both front and rear signals being LED.

On my t bird I picked up some round tractor trailer lights and opened up the bird light housing, mounted leds then wired it up.

The beginning of this video you can get a feel for the truck lights. Left side a wire is shorting. I also had a brake light from my 02 R1 motorcycle that I used for the third brake light.

I can't believe I didn't think of this earlier... all that needs to be done is swap factory red tinted lens to the LED light unit.

I think I might get these once I found a set of used tails since I'm not going to use mine until I know they will fit and seal up right to the LED housing.

Yes, He is on CVN. Same user name. The LED's Came from an 05-07 Mercury Montego taillamp assembly. He was able to transplant everything inside a Grand Marquis taillight housing.

If I recall correctly, the red plastic is the same, it is the actual housing that is painted black on our cars, compared to reflective on CVs. I think you would need to tint these LED tails that why I never bought them. Didn't have time to mess with tinting options.

Good ass idea Chris. I'd do it that way but I think the clear part takes away from the lights so I'd smoke it but would defeat the purpose.

I like that idea....like a Monty Python saying...and now for something completely different...never did like the original tail-lights....for $34,000 Ford could of/should of given us a little something better to make the Marauder stand out from it's cousin Crown Vic :confused:

A can of VHT Night Shade, some time and a steady hand can fix the issue to make it close the Marauder tails. The major problem is that when Ford had the MM tails made the actual plastic itself is has a dark tint to it while nothing was ever applied to it, only added into the mixture of the plastic.
