The money is good, no doubt there at all, but these zero tolerance (nothing frozen sent by God, at all times) places can drive. You. Nuts.

They call me out, i start up the office, get back in the work van, and watch youtube, play solitaire, and log in here to maintain order.

Been sitting here twiddling my thumbs for three hours now...

Never in my life did I think I would be this bored on the clock! At least it's work, that's all I care about.

Contractor no. Just a Journeyman Plumber at a small shop with only two others. The owner also does sewer and water as another entity so you could only imagine the equipment he owns.

That brings us to my second job, shops only mechanic when things slow down, or if needed, after hours.

And because I am a gluten for punishment, I agreed to take on a snow route as a third job! (Yep, same boss)

I get around 😊

I think when I was laid off for ten months from my previous shop three years ago it scarred me?

Of course, "no" and "can't" are words I associate as "lazy" and "unwilling to try harder or dumb??) I've tried to practice saying them, but then I think green backs, or shall i say the lack thereof a couple years ago and all I can say Okay!
