Elio Motors bought old S'port GM plant.

Elio Motors bought the closed GM plant here in Shreveport and will build their "Trike" vehicle. This will bring about a thousand good paying jobs.

Must be doing more than assembly to employ 1000. Can't imagine what parts would be built on site. Most of this goes to third party vendors. I do wish them the best of luck though.

These are pretty risky endeavors for both the local taxpayers and the company but maybe it will take off (I hope so).

The more I read about this the worse the smell. Lack of any detailed info on the vehicle, state and feral tax dollars. Millions for the owners, a few jobs then bankruptcy. Much like the $ spent on green energy.
