That's why I'm surrounded by anti ESD matts on the floors, all benches, etc. Winter is the worst too. That guy is still a jackwagon though. ;)

LOL, I believe this was planned but it was funny... Course he did draw a nice arc to his finger, I'd have said *hit as well...

I've gotten into the 27Kv 2nd anode voltage to the picture tube in tube type color TVs more than a few times... Those would arc a couple inches and bite hard, worse than any coil or plug wire I've gotten friendly with that supposedly made higher voltage...

Yeah I don't doubt that, luckily I've never had the ummm, pleasure...

Commercial 277v can be real nasty, everything else is likely to be at ground potential... At least in home circuits each leg of the 240v is referenced to neutral/ground, more likely than not you'll get a 120v jolt...
