The front, driver's side window switch has been getting worse and worse over the past six months. It goes down easy enough but to get the window to go up I now need to press the switch REALLY, REALLY hard.
I can replace the switch (if I can figure out exactly what part to order from whom) ...OR...I can disassemble the switch and try to fix it myself.
Has anyone had a problem like the one I described and successfully did the repair themselves? If so, what did you do to fix the switch?
If anyone knows the part number and where to get the best price on the switch, please let me know.
Bonus question...I'm going to need to remove the drivers side window control panel. I don't want to "break the tabs". I lift the front first, right?
Thanks in advance!!

There are some posts on how to fix the switch. Personally I'd just replace it. You'll go through all the work of trying to fix a less than $25.00 parts and it might not work after your done. They are cheap enough... like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-F-150-Crown-Victoria-Expedition-Door-Front-Master-Power-Window-Switch-Left-/271090425560?pt=Motors_Car_Tru ck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3AMarauder&hash=item3f1e3f9ed8&vxp=mtr
Yes, you carefully.. very carefully pry up the front first.

Thanks! Is that the same unit to fit the MM?
I did try to search to find a thread explaining how to fix the switch but all I could find was that really great/detailed post about fixing the LEDs. Didn't address a problem with the switch itself.

Yes that will fit the MM. You basically take it apart the same way to clean the switch contacts.

Its a very easy fix as I have repaired many. Pull the housing up starting at the front. Unplug the switch, remove switch from housing. Take switch apart and clean the contacts, reassemble. Done. Cost = $0, maybe 20 min of time.

+1, very easy fix, you shouldnt break anything unless you really try to break it..

So I did break the tabs on the plastic housing for the switches anyone know if they still sell that part. I see a few on ebay for the GM guessing I can paint to match.
