I reached out to Sgt. Mac Sunday evening to find him putting the groceries away from his recent trip to the supermarket.
As the avid readers here know, Mac has recently endured a lengthy hospital stay.
After getting some details on what transpired since he was admitted, it left me with a true respect for what a fighter Mac is.
He wanted me to relay his appreciation for all the prayers, cards, visits and good will, that was extended his way.
He praises all the great doctors , valued friends, and his second chance.
He is anxious to get back out with the members for a gathering, whatever form that takes.
It was great to hear him express his grattitude toward all the people that helped him in a time of need.
God Bless you Mac!

Good stuff!

I was thinking about taking a drive over to see him this weekend, may hold off a bit until he gets some more of his strength back, but he remains in my thoughts and prayers.

Sarge, I sent you a combination get well card and Christmas card, but it was returned by the hospital. Great to see you doing so well--remember, old folks heal and recover slowly. Go against all your feelings and do what the docs and therapists tell you--don't overdo it. You've made it this far, so don't goof up now. Our prayers are with you and yours. See you in Louisville, Maybe ???????? Maury
