For some reason this car does not bother me nearly as much as if a male had done it.
Not quite sure why that is...

like some have said... her car/money she can do whatever she wants to. the color and rims are ugly, i would have went with non floaters.
there are a lot of skeptics about this female and car... from when i was following the drama on facebook they say its not hers. its some dude she deals with who lets her drive it. no one ever see's her drive the car. no vid's or nothing of her actually driving it. yadda yadda yadda... the car is not ruined. its done how whoever paid to get it done wanted it.

my take
a decently edited video, way better than most.
From the looks of it a lot of fabrication went into that car and it looks like a darn good job as well
As for the car as a whole, I'll say not my cup o tea either, so much so I wouldn't drive it if you gave it to me - but again its not my car - I'm the same guy who said I'd never drive a mnivan/suv - four kids later, things changed
As for the rims I do think large rims that huge not only look awful they are darn right dangerous. Blow-outs, limited turning circle, broken axles and hubs you name it.

I agree...kind of.....
Speaking in general here, for as much as you can tell someone that your opinion doesn't matter because you didn't put the money down for it, I can tell you that I don't have to like it just because you put the money and work into it.
Sometimes, things are just wrong/stupid. While this particular case may not be one of those things, it gets really tiring to see people under the impression that just because someone had a thought/idea, it inherently deserves to be respected or admired.

I assume because....... most 20 year olds don't have the supporting income for 10k in wheels, 10k in body and paint work etc... so unless there is a windfall of some sort, the funds are usually derived from illegal activities, granted I make that decision based on those that I have partaken in arresting for said activities.
As far as those on this board that have cars with $$$$ in them, that is true, most of us are older, have jobs or multiple jobs, own business's (or both in my case). If money were so free flowing, a lot of the newer owners of Marauders wouldn't be price shopping for parts, they would pay what ever it would take to get the parts they want.
That said, minus the rear doors and big stereo, I think the car looks pretty good, pink just makes it even more different.

Military?
Could have been working since 18. Saved up 10k a year?
There are many ways to get money and not deal drugs. But again no argument here you nor I know either individual. I do see it being sad that people are labeled by what they drive instantly due to others who got their money the wrong way. And FYI there are more "older" drug dealers in the world then young ones. Now days you pull up to a high school and can't tell the teachers parking lot from the students cuz the parents are forking over all the money to put kids in any and everything.

Very true, or could be running a gaming house, prostitution, guns, extortion etc.
As far as "older" dealers, I would say that would vary from area to area, and in my area, it is comprised of 15-25 YO's, as I said "based on my experience", which would also dictate the area that I would work within.

I think the point Mike was trying to make is that we know the majority on this site wouldn't like this set up, but some members do.
So everytime a thread like this is started, people feel the need to insert a opinions pasting the car as a monstrosity. The truth of the matter is others may look at your as a monstrosity, and if a thread was started with everyone saying your car made them want to puke, you'd be offended would you not.
This car is not your taste, and I will defend that, but I also will not demean what someone does to their because I don't like it.

Well then since the owners of the porthole car thread can't defend themselves might as well pull that down. Walmart customers threads might as well pull them down, etc, etc.
I guess the only opinion threads we can have are from those who post up about their own specific car, gun, whatever.

Nah Eric, I'm just saying when someone customizes their car. They love their ride as much as we do, and I don't think it's right to demean.
Putting on plastic stick ons and the people of Walmart are different, that's not customizing and putting in thousands of dollars

I honestly don't see the difference. Criticism is criticism. Those freaky Walmart people probably look into their mirror in the morning and think they look the schnitz, same as the pink car girl. Neither can defend themselves here so according to your logic neither deserve criticism from the MM.net cheap seats.
I happen to disagree. We each have a different opinion on what we see. Some like the pink car, some don't. If we can only post up positive comments where people can't defend themselves I fail to see the point of posting up the thread in the first place.
Imagine the pink car thread only had positive comments. Now imagine someone from the VW site decides to lurk on MM.net. If they were to open that thread they would see only positive comments and they could then assume with reasonable assumption that the members of this site think that car is awesome. That is a disservice to that VW lurker as it doesn't fairly interprete the true spectrum of opinion here.
I say positive and negative comments demonstrate the wide variety of opinion by our membership and should be lauded. Besides in a couple of days the thread will be off the radar and be subjugated to MM.net search box oblivion or after we all bash each other for a few pages it will be locked up. :)

It's cool Eric, disagreement is healthy as long as its respectful, which you always are, we happen to disagree on this but still respect each others opinion to do so, I think that is more of what is about.
You're always respectful even in these threads. I think it's okay to say you don't like it, but some really bash it to the point they belittle the owner as distasteful, ruining their ride and it makes them puke. My point is if someone said that about their car, we would all rise up to defend them and and they would most likely be pissed someone said their ride made them puke.
Critique is healthy, advice is good, comments like abomination, abortion and puke might take it a step to far in my opinion.
But I always enjoy a conversation with you my friend
