Only $80,000.00 Get them while they are hot. Personally I like them. The Black and blue ones are nice. I like the red one too.

I'd take one in a heart beat, I loved those Daytona's. Would only cost me 28k more. Forget about all those look at me options, give me the wing, nose, max HP and the club sport handling package and I'm good to go.

I like their TA too, always liked the Firebirds, though again I'm too Italian to drive a TA, I'd look like the coke dealers bouncer.

I normally hate HUGE rear wings on anything....

Except the old SuperBirds.

These new versions are sweet!......:banana2:

I'd rock the wheels from the first two cars! Great idea, well done, but tough to beat the original imo

I would love to see one on the street... like that black and/or red one ...seems like a nice redo of the original but man I really would enjoy having one of those back in the day ones now...not in my price bracket alas.

+1 I agree. I am kinda partial to the blue and the gold ones. Not so much on the black/red and silver versions.

In 1968, I really wanted a Blue Road Runner; but it never happened. :(

Each to their own but I will say...yuck. Reminds me of the time in 1976 I was in training in Norfolk and one of my instructors wanted to sell me his primer covered but straight hemi Superbird for $6,000 and I couldnt swing it because that was all I made in a year in the Navy.

Fugly as sin. Some vehicles even a new refresh design just don't compare well to the previous style. Original Superbird > barf shopping carts.

I remember the "superbirds" way back in the day...some dealers had to remove the wing to sell'em...a friend had one and when we hang out we would throw aor jacket's on the wing and piss him off:laugh:

Nose is too long.

Never really cared much for the aerodynamic front styling alterations on the older Dodges/Plymouths or late 60's Mercurys/Torinos.

Sounds familiar....Back in '77 during the gas crunch - gas rationing oil embargos.... a friend, who knew that I loved Mustangs, tried to sell me a 1969 4 speed, 428 Cobra Jet Mach I in primer grey.....for $1,900 bucks!
The only car I've ever driven except the Cobra that could burn rubber for as long as you held down the pedal...in any gear!
Being as I only made @ $3.00/hr and gas was being rationed I said....NO WAY!......:bigcry:

As far as these repro Superbirds - I thought about it and looked at the pics but I don't really like it. If those cars in those colors etc. had a normal grill and something other than the gigant-O wing then maybe, but then they wouldn't be reproductions either!

Honestly, I really didn't like the originals either - The snout is ugly. I think the only thing I liked was the Roadrunner graphic with the Superbird lettering in a circle around it. Would MUCH rather have a Roadrunner or GTX - But the Challenger isn't the right platform.

However, I *really* dig the Sox & Martin reproduction 'Cuda
