How do you know they're Chinese?

The aftermarket headlamps I bought on eBay were pretty much indistinguishable from the factory ones that I pulled off the car.
That means in both appearance and apparent build quality.
It would be considerate of the seller to disclose such a detail, but unless you insist on having Ford parts exclusively on the car, I don't think it will make much difference for people...

The left one goes on the right and the right one goes on the left in China...

I guess i just dont see a problem there, if its that important to have genuine "FORD" parts then the buyer should confirm that before purchasing.

If you keep your car garaged you can count on the black inside the lights to start cracking.
You will also notice the the light pattern is bad.

Strange, my MM was never garaged in Texas heat and after a year of having them on before I sold it I experienced no problems with cracked housings. Maybe I got aftermarket that wasn't direct from China? I don't know how long it should take before that happens though, maybe the next person to own it is having to deal with it.
Also, I did have to dial-in the projection height once I bought them, but when they were dialed in they gave off light just as well as my factory housings did. I suppose the factory ones could have been wildly out of alignment to the point that they were worse than aftermarket, but again, if it provided plenty of light in any situation (enough to never worry about sight distance at night), that's what's most important right?

I have asked the seller a couple of questions w/o any response so far. I wasn't to concerned of the maker because my car is not an investment quality car but I can see where this would be a concern to someone with 5 to 10k miles on one, every non oe piece you add could take value away I think. For the daily driver I don't see a prob. They look alot better than what is on mine right now. Oh, didn't Ford have a tsb on the headlights for condensation? Does anyone know if it is still possible to cash in on that if you have factory lights? If so I'm in like Flint.

There is already parts made in china, japan, korea and wire looms from south american going into production of US cars including Ford! I understand people wanting original (ford) parts and needs to ask seller these questions, then if you don't like go to ford and buy over the counter if it means that much to you!

Who cares as long as it looks good? The Chinese buy American products. You guys need to calm down.

The wiring harness that runs under the passenger side door sill has a giant label that reads MADE IN MEXICO. I don't see a china made part detracting from value down the road. Many reproduction parts for classic cars are made in china anyways.

TSB's are only taken care of/fixed when car is still under warrantee.

Ford contracts with many qualified manufacturers in many countries to build parts to their specs. I have never seen a Ford part that says "Made in China".

I just had some minor body work done on mine. My issue was not so much that the parts said 'Made in China/Mexico/Whatever' but I wanted the Ford emblem on my replacement parts. I did not want the non-OEM parts on my car. It is a daily driver. It is not an investment. But to me, this is a special car and therefore I personally only want FORD stamped parts on my car.
When the 18 wheeler lost a tire tread and it disintegrated my the front end of my wife's Accord, I did not care where the parts were made or even if they were OEM or not.
To me, the seller needs to state if they are OEM or not.

Marauder built in Canada. Don't care where parts came from. Can never make it American.

Ford, GM, and all the rest take the lowest bidder. I still LOVE my Marauders. They could be made in @#$%^&~! and I still feel that way.

If the seller knows its not OEM he needs to state that or he won't keep that 100% positive feedback he has now ,when the person buys it and doesn't see that Ford logo on back of headlight .
