I saw a low mileage (36,000 miles) very clean and well-maintained Black early 300A (pre-decontented). According to the owner the car had no mods other than 4.10s and a tune/handheld.

The car is not for sale yet.

What do you think it is worth/should sell for?

No smart remarks please and thanks!

Lately people are trying to get crazy money for low mileage MMs. I personally think this one is worth about 12k.

Seller already declined that offer which is why I was asking.

Loan value is around 10k, there lies the problem. To sell the car for what it is worth, 14-17k,the buyer will need cash of his own to put with the loan. A lot of people won't ante' up 4-7k when they can buy a new (POS mind you) for nothing down and monthly payments.

Then there is the "rest" of us, that love these cars, and will sell our kids or souls to get another. I think Barry needs a low miler, I would start there.

At 12K a year a 11 year old car should be around 132K, so your looking at about 90-95K under, the rule I was taught was .05 a mile for the differance. So take what a 132K marauder is worth and add a number between 2,000-4500.?

Interesting approach.

is the .05 approach meant to work on all cars?
if so that doesn't make sense to me on our cars because of the higher cost of rebuilding them. i wouldn't give more than 7k for a 132k car (maybe unless its a blue in nice shape).
i would guess 15k at the on 36k.
maybe i'm twisted, hell i am twisted. but that's my 2 cents.

36K miles represents only about 4 years of typical low mileage use. So, the upper end for the car would probably be in the $18,250 range (2007 equivalent) given Excellent/Near Perfect condition and no issues. Adjust from there based on a true assessment of condition. Low end (Fair condition, 2013 equivalent) car at about $6,890. Mid range (Good condition, 2010 equivalent) $12,570. JMHO.

It is worth what you are willing to pay for it. Especially with unique cars like these......... just my .02 cause after my "whats it worth" or "what should I pay" thread thats what I came out of it with. :)

New car dealers use system (.05) this to value a clean low mileage car/truck/SUV. For the most part it works in their favor ;)

Marty, August 2011 I bought mine 03 300a bone stock for 16,000.

The bank financed 15,500 with 500dp. They did the 16k as they viewed the MM as a specialty vehicle not the 12k of a GM.

With the mods you mentioned I think 15 to 16k would be fair.

Other than that, what a person is willing to sell for and what a person is willing to pay are the only limitations.

Good luck! :D

a friend of mine bough a 2004 SB for $19,000 with about 39,000 miles on it, I would think this should go anywhere from 15 honestly to 17 that's what I would be willing to pay at least

Get the potential buyer in the driver seat. Have them go to an open stretch of road and have them open it up.
Video tape their face. Play it for them and explain the look on their face just doesn't go away for as long as they own it and they'll pay your price.
