Leave it to an American car show to take a bunch of "drivers cars" and drag race them. :shake:
Gotta love the sound of the Mercedes V8 though. ;)

What's the problem with drag racing them?
Normally when they individually test cars they run them down the track.

Just seems silly to me.
Even if ketchup on a 5-star steak tastes good, it's still kind of negating/somewhat insulting a lot of what makes it what it is above a ground beef hamburger.
I get drag racing a GT500. I don't get drag racing an MP4-12C
It was nice to see the Shelby beat the camaro.

Cool race! On youtube if you search "drag times" you find a bunch of vids with highly modified cars doing one mile drag races. Lots of scary fast cars. I believe these races take place in Russia. :banana2:

Google "Moscow Unlimited" or look here... http://www.unlim500.ru/video/ Site is in Russian, but click links and you will find different classes of vehicles (fast SUV's, Exotics, Built Cars and Bikes).
:burnout:
Every car magazine test in the U.S. and Europe have straightline performance measures... And lets face it, most who own the high dollar exotics here in the U.S. only run hard in a straight line in their cars.... Way to afraid of wrecking once things get twisty....:drive:

It's really unfortunate, because a lot of those cars are capable of unbelievable things outside of just mashing the gas and holding on.

Shelby would be very happy that one of his last two creations ran with the top exotics.
