Hey I bought my marauder with a k&n intake on it. The stock intake is in the k&n box, but the box says "k&n off road performance." Is this the right one for my car? How often do you have to charge the filter up?

If it fits it must be the right one. The filters are "million mile" filters that require cleaning and oiling. Cleaning kits for this can be picked up at any FLAPS that sells K&N products. Follow the directions, be careful not to over oil. One of those cases where less is more.

Cleaning the filter depends on how much you drive and how dusty the area is where you drive at.
I usually clean my filter once a year which is 12-15k miles. I have a JLT which is like the K&N. I bought a 2nd filter so that I didn't have to wait for one to dry after being washed and wait for the oil to setup. Swap in the new one and clean the old one whenever I get a chance.

I installed a new K & N CAI on my '04 DTR last year...part number 57-2563...fits perfectly...sounds great when you push the go pedal.

I do the same. An extra filter isn't expensive.

The SB stack filter I think was $40-45, well worth it just to be able to switch and go.
