Hello everyone i just got home after a 4 day stay in the hospital. It seems saturday morning i was feeling tired but decide to go snow blow the driveway anyway, then i had a myocardial infraction (Heart attack), and was rushed to the hospital.

Turns out my right coronary artery had a blockage and no blood was flowing to my heart. They performed Angioplasty and installed a stent in artery.

Its good to be home again and alive, docter said no more fried foods and quit smoking.

Wow Dean .... sorry to hear this. :( Glad all turned out well. Welcome to the RCA Stent Club. I had a similar episode 3 years ago but mine was caught before the heart attack during a Cardiac Stress test. Hope the damage to your pump is minimal. I was in the hospital only about 24 hours before they sent my azz home. Wait til you see the bill .... ;)

Guess we can compare Meds at Carlisle this year.

Anyway, welcome home Bud.

I recommend the name-brand nicotine patches. They don't help you quit smoking, they help you to not kill somebody while you're quitting smoking.
No joke.

Good luck with all this.

Wow, thats young for such a wake up call!
Giving up fried foods won't be that tough, after a while they get gross if you try them.
The cigs will kick your butt. I used, patches, gum etc. Finally I had to just be ready because I didn't want to die.
Hang in there, don't smoke!!!

Best of luck for a speedy and full recovery.

It is very hard to change. A friend is a cardiologists and he told me he tells his patients to change their habits or they will die of a heart condition, most choose not to and die of a hear condition.

We tried to get my mom to stop smoking.

Her comment, "I'm 84, what do I care?"

She died at age 85.

Good luck to you.

I was planning on Ky but its up in the air right now, all depends on how i feel, and if my mom needs help since we found out she has stage 4 cancer. So it depends on her treatments and how much help she needs.

Hey Dean....was wondering what happened to you-glad you are doing better. I also had to quit smoking (doctors orders) so I just changed what I smoke -Marauder tires!

Make sure you have some kind of workout routine going to keep the weight off when food starts tasting really good. Trust me on this one.

It's hard but it will get easier every day my friend.

I am very sorry to hear about your mom. She will be in our thoughts and prayers. Be strong and hope to see ya soon.

Glad you're doing better. Please take the dr's advice well. My uncle is 61 and on his 2nd difibulator(spelling?). He still smokes those dag on cigarettes and will kill off some pabst blue ribbon. He totaled his 2010 crv by flipping it three times and going airborne all because his heart stopped while driving. I want him around for awhile and although i don't know you, i want you around too.
