So I have been reading about the valve train tick in the 03's. Mine seems to have developed it at 90,000 miles. How do I go about fixing it? I've read to re torq the cam bolts but I'm not sure I believe it. I have the drivers side cam cover off and everything looks fine but I don't know what to do next?

OK so curiosity killed the cat. I tried it. The last bolt felt funny ( exhaust can on drivers side closest to fire wall on the bottom) and then it snapped. The bolt directly in front of it (towards the front of the motor) took almost a fill turn before it was at 14lb. So now where do I get another bolt or should I replace them all. I was able to take a left handed drill bit and back what was still in the hole out. So I'm ready to ready assemble.

Im not sure about cam bolts - perhaps ford parts counter.
if you had a rear head cooling kit on there it may not have gotten loose.
drivers side head near firewall is a dead giveaway.

Im now worried that mine are loose now too. Good luck post back results.
