Cool car....cool site. a little story.....
When I was in high school, a buddy and I use to hang out with his Dad in his workshop, he was a muscle car maniac. He was an engineer, who designed tools for McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis.
Back in the corner was a car with a dusty tarp on it. Never paid much attention to it. One day his Dad said he would pay us $5.00 a piece (1969, a lot of money back then..lol)) to sweep and straighten up the workshop.
While were were sweeping, "Hey Doug, what's under that tarp?" "Some old sports car my Dad dragged out of a garage, its ugly as hell." "Let me see it." We pulled off the tarp and this is what we saw, (not actual pics)

1954 Kaiser-Darrin

It was kinda in rough shape, but all the parts were there. "Yea, I said it was butt ugly." He said it was made out of fiberglass, like the Vette. A straight six engine. It had these weird doors that slid up in the fenders, it had two tops, a crazy looking fiberglass half top and a canvas convertible top.
Anyway, Doug's Dad was transferred to Nagoya, Japan. Lost all track of Doug. Always wondered what happened to that car?...
