Every time I see one of these cars it's an SS, every time!...the double faced tape on these cars SS badges must have given out.
I think the SS badge on Chevy's is the equivalent of the Buick porthole stick-ons on anything other than a Buick.
You really need to know your stuff when buying a Chevy SS.

True, true. I like the Marauder for the (relatively) plain look, just like the old Biscaynes. Sleeper material.

"Chevy Biscayne 2Dr Post Coupe. This is a head turning, immaculate, recent frame off, completely restored 1966 Chevrolet Biscayne. Although it looks like it belongs on the drag strip, (and it will run 12's) it is a very comfortable, well mannered road car. It is a pleasure to drive and handles like a new car without rattles. You can take this car on a long distance trip anywhere. In fact, I drove it without problems in the 2012 Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour. It is very reliable and VERY fast! If you are looking for a muscle car that truly stands out and attracts attention anywhere you go, then this is the ride you've been looking for. I love driving this Biscayne and you will too!"

all these pictures are cool & stuff but I really only get a hard on for the mopar muscle (roadrunner, satellite, charger). I don't care, much for the cudas, dusters, demons or challengers.

Yeah back in the day I would argue with anyone my manual steer '69 428 Cobra Jet Fairlane was the best driving car on the road... These days I realize(like those Chevys) it drives like a field truck, planning on adding P/S this spring...

CBT looks like you like the mid year cars. What about the early stuff? I am a fan of the 59, 61-64's and the 67's. This is what Dad and I where drooling over this year at Barrett Jackson. 59 Vert, LS6, 6 speed, air ride, frame off, etc.

I love 'em all from that era. No brand bashing or grandstanding. They were all cool before the GD government ****ed it all up.

I too love those old big 'uns...all types...but my favs have to be of the Pontiac genre...
when they show up in Hemmings Muscle Machines or Muscle Car Review or at the auctions...I wish I could build a 'collection' of my own.
I like the early 60's Impala's and Pontiacs, too. But mainly any 1970 car. Roadrunners, Chevelles, Superbee's, Camaro, etc. etc. It was a good year.
1970 Challenger T/A, who wouldn't want this? :

Dom,the day your MM hasn't been driven I'll send the cops over to your crib to do a health and welfare check on you.
Mopars?Hmmm,I'll have to do some digging for pics of my 70 Satellite,Lucille. She was Christine's younger and meaner sister.
I honestly got her from the original owners brother, the original owner did,in fact, die sitting in her.

The Chevys are nice. I missed a chance for a 65 409 a few years back. Was working out of town.

I still have my 64 SS, only problem it's a 300 HP 327 4 sp. I Had bought a new 69 Custom coupe SS 427 HP 4sd, was able to get the 425 HP through freinds I had at GM then, dealer told you they could not get one, WRONG! I think the 425 HP cost me another $1,100. Sold that car in 74 for a new Olds 98, got $900.00 for it, My son brad had a fit but I was getting out of the hotrods then, damn wish I still had it! What a magor mistake!

I had the 327/300 in my 65 Stingray. Didn't want the headaches of the fuelie, and I don't think that the 396 had come out yet when I ordered the car (might be wrong).
Sorry I didn't wait and get a Vette with the 327/350 engine, but, by the time that motor came out, I had sold the Vette, gotten married, and was driving a 66 Cyclone convert, 289/2v, automatic.
Not a bad car, but, after owning a Stingray? Tough act to follow.

That's why I keep my '77. It's a deathtrap wrapped in fiberglass but damn is it fun to blast down the road in it.
