View Full Version : Another Wax Thread
Now for something totally different from the usual Zaino/Zymol/Meguire's etc. debate.
This weekend I was renewing the Rain X on both of our cars windshields at home. I'm always amazed at how this stuff makes rain run right off your windshield without even using your wipers. Then I saw that Rain X makes a car wax. So I was wondering, if they are so good at making water run off of windshields, could they have the same great technology in their wax as well?
Has anyone tried Rain X car wax?

I haven't tried it yet, Ross but I intend too- might be marketing hype but the window stuff is great.
PS: Note to users of Rain-X window treatment DO NOT get it on your paint, it causes damage. I of course learned this lesson prepping Logan's $8000 paint-jobbed car at Autorama (Thank God he caught it in time).
PPS: Very generous of you with the rodeo tickets. My girls (13 & 15) are HUGE Lachey/Simpson fans but they're on spring break this week instead of next. Those are worth big bucks to the pre-driver's license segment of the population....

Heeeyyyyyyy I tried that NXT Tech wax and it is the ****znik! Shines shines shines. Shines so much the car looks wet. I'm sure that Zaino is great stuff too but after using this NXT I am sold. The Rain X wax is interesting but I have alot of NXT left.

Careful with the RainX windshield washer fluid too. People have complained about it staining paint.

That's a good point. Since I like the Rain X windshield treatment so much, I was thinking about using their washer fluid. Maybe I better stick with regular washer fluid to be safe.

Gage and I picked up a bottle of that new NXT generation on the way home tonight. $14 / 18oz. , not too bad. Looks good, smells good, has great promises.
They say to do a panel and compare it against your favorite wax. I just did the Zaino #5 over the weekend. I'll panel compare tomorrow....er...it's gonna snow tomorrow...friday then...maybe...oh hell, I hate this time of year!

I've been looking around...still can't find any stores that carry it. Meguires 1-800-545-3321 for order's. NXT Generation Tech Wax- product # G12718- $14.99 NXT Generation Wash-Product # G12664- $5.99. Now if you order the Wash with the wax the shipping is free so you save 5.95 in shipping cost's for a limited time only. What it comes down to is free car wash ,how could you go wrong? And it works good too. Now I didn't test it against Zaino, but I've always used Meguires Gold class and the NXT Gen. blow's it away. And it give me a deep luster and what a super shine . Let me know how you like it.
