I have been the official caretaker of my new DTR for 6 days and during that time we have shared 1409 miles since I purchased her March 1st in Florida. I am in love! First mod today was simple, unamed exhaust anatomy extracation, noticeable difference! K&N cold air box enroute, tuner about to be purchased....
Here is the first meeting of the Mercury minds. Granted the truck is a clone....MERCURY tailgate will be installed soon, as well as a more correct '68 grill to be added in the next few days.

Let the madness continue! I do need a suggestion for an approriate MM/Ford performance related license plate for the front since I do not want to remove the plate bracket and have two holes.

Nice write up. Didn't know that. I'm a bigger Mercury fan than Ford fan since I was weened from a '68 Cougar. It's in ma blood. Plate wise how about MERC 2 A T. T stands for truck. Just a thought...

Earlier today I was at a stop light .... Right next to me was a sherrif's deputy in his Vic. Not sure what came over me but I winked at him....he couldn't take his eyes off my marauder...pretty sure I am not making friends

Hate to give my thoughts away on a plate just yet. I like the MERC 2 A T .....still waiting on some papers to arrive from the state before I get a tag. I will be the only MM within 40 miles - There is no hiding in my town..... It's kinda like trying to gift wrap an elephant.

I probably need to clarify, I know most of the SO, PD, LEO around here and they are the best bunch of guys, I work along side many of them through my work when we need their assistance, which is pretty often....but every one of them who drives a P71....You know they all wish they had the fat heads on their motors like we all do..... head envy is a bad thing.........

Nice! Never seen a Merc truck that year, I think they had a 54 M100 that was pretty cool...I should clone my 80 F150 into a M150😃😃😃
Also I am considering removing my front plate and having the holes filled...less is best with these cars
