Does is seem to you that, as a group, we are hit by other cars much more than average? Our cars are big enough, and noticeable enough that it would seem they could avoid us. I guess it's a good thing they can take a hit.

Dan - With approximately 1,500 members on this site I don't think we have more accidents than any other group. Our incidents get posted from the entire U.S. and Canada. That covers a lot of territory.

My wreck last year was my first accident ever. Sucks it had to come with my favorite car ever. I think, really, that my time was just up. Sooner or later the odds catch up with you. I don't think we're really any more prone to collisions than anybody else.

OK, this is gonna hurt some feelings....but... in my opinion accidents happen as a result of an individuals driving habits whether they were at fault, or absolutely didn't see it coming.

Knock on wood, I have never been in an accident. (Sliding out on black ice all by yourself and tearing off a front wheel doesn't count!):P
I'm talking multi vehicle accidents.

1) I have always taken the extra attention to ALWAYS know what's going on around me,
2) Assume the other driver is gonna do something stupid, and never assume the path (right-of-way)is clear at an intersection.
3) Never drive in the "bunch group" on the interstate.

Now I'm no paranoid driver, infact, at times I am a little over aggressive. But I don't let myself into a situation that invites trouble.

4)In heavy stop and go go traffic, I am always aware of the driver behind me and always have a contingency plan. I'm NEVER last in line of traffic at a dead stop. (sorry Animal)

5)Never follow semi's , and never, never pass them on the right. (sorry Tod)

6)Know the law. Not friends! The (state) revised code of driving conduct

I take pride in my driving mentality and could go on for ever, but these are trade secrets.:baaa:
