The one and only time I had OD issues was before I demanded the shifter linkage be adjusted. Common issue. Also causes difficulty in finding reverse, and requires shifting into park to find gears.
Hopefully this is the same.
Let us know please.
BTW: Don't be shy, atleast edit your profile (location) to atleast indicate a State.

I think the flashing OD light is the PCM's way of saying something is very very wrong, if I remember correctly.
Damn, another blown tranny... why do I keep hearing the lyrics to that old Queen song?

Well, at least he hears music in his head, not voices, like some ex-signal corps members...

Well, I drove mine to Dennis Reinharts to get mine S/C'd and when he took mine apart at 9800 miles--he found it toasted as well...maybe another 30 days of use..boy was I lucky--so ..there may be a problem with the initial installed ones --don't know for sure--but I now have a stage II upgraded tranny in my MM now along with all the S/C stuff---so hopefully you can still get it covered under warranty.......good luck....and BTW ..it could be the converter-- too---let the selling dealer ( hopefully that is where you got it) check it out....keep us posted--we love hearing about this stufff and it's outcome--cause we all are affected----know what I mean!!!!!!!!!!........Tom

Did you get any warranty help Tom? I'm guessing not since a dealer didn't take it apart.

If not the shift linkage, I'd suggest the old favorite, Intermediate clutch pack "C" clip retainer came off, and it's all down hill from there.
No worries, you'll get a new tranny.
