You don't need to box to get a speed bag. They are fun but also frustrating till you get the hang of it.

They make a speed bag/kink/punch bag combo. I have one. I think it is everlast. Under 200.00 stand and all.

They're not fun until you learn how. You'll be frustrated more than anything. I boxed for 2 years, now in my garage I have an everlast 100lb heavy bag/speed bag stand. I don't use the speed bag. It's a better work out, and I was never good on the speed bag. When I was boxing, I preferred being in the ring and doing pad work with the coach. Give it a try, but rhythm is where it's at.

Speed bag is great once you get the timing down. That is all there is to it.

Make sure you get a good pair of weighted gloves or tape your hands. You can get chewed up pretty quick on the heavy bag.

Ah yes, pre wrapping is a must. Training gloves too. I use 14 oz gloves on the bag. I never hit the bag bare knuckled.
