I'm working from home today & put on the speed channel just for some background noise, but here I am 3 episodes glued to the tv..
anyone else watching this show?

the premise is two teams have 48 hrs to custom create a car thats provided, including engine/trans, body/paint, suspension & interior.

pretty cool. I saw the 72 olds cutlass episode, the 92 Mustang episode & I'm currently watching the 33 Ford episode.

I'm being very unproductive, I know. I don't like working from home but we had some inclement weather and I decided to exercise my god-given right to work from home

yeah they kinda were but the whole point is to be over the top. I don't think at least.

yeah I guess.. for the 3 episodes I watched, it was 48hrs.. the episode ctrlraven posted was only 36 hrs but it was an all star challenge (like iron chef or Chopped All Stars)

first season they have 72 hours and it's allstars versus challenging team. George Barris (Batmobile creator), Mad Mike (of Pimp My Ride) and Jimmy Shine are judges and someone (i forgot who) hosts.

second season they have 48 hours and it's two separate teams. Jimmy Shine is the host and sole judge. and two of his employees are techs, one to help each team.

the first season was awesome because 72 hour gave the all tar to go wild. the 48 hour is just a paint and fluff, its usually who's paints the best. not to many good shows on nowadays.
