These links/prices work if you go to http://www.fordparts.com/tousleyford and allow Tousley Ford to be your preferred dealer.
If you/anyone decide to pick a different dealer the prices may or may not be the same.
I have not searched all dealers, but doubt any will be cheaper.
It is better if you/anyone signs up/logs in/enters Vin #. That way the site
verifies that a part will fit the car with that VIN.
*Note. http://www.tousleyfordparts.com/ and http://www.tascaparts.com/partlocator/index.cfm?siteid=213668 will
give same prices, but their sites are unavailable on a semi-regular basis.

What are the chances of finding a dark blue pearl ready to bolt on spoiler? Slim to None? Seriously is it worth calling all over the country or just buy the primered one and have it painted? :)

Well FYI folks. Even though the website states they have Black & DPB units in stock, they do NOT... There is a glitch in the Ford parts website they can't fix that keeps it showing this incorrectly.

They shipped it before getting my permission to do so. So now I have a $175 primer POS coming by FedX!

Did not want to mess around getting painted. I would have gotten an aftermarket one that already comes black. No biggie, I'll deal with it...

That sucks...but I'd hang on to that $175 "POS" because when FORD is out of stock it becomes a $300 "POS".
In a few years 'bare trunked' Marauder owners will find that having a fiberglass shop re-create that spoiler is going to cost $$$$$.

I just got an OEM spoiler that is primered but I was wondering if a special type of paint or additive needs to be applied to it so that it will last and not fail in time.

For example our bumpers need to have flex additive added to the paint or else they will peel and crack.

Thanks in advance for the replies...

Do you know if they added any type of additive aka "flex additive" to the paint when you had your spoiler painted?

JBFTech
04-05-2013, 07:29 PM
Nope, just normal paint, the spoiler is rigid and doesn't flex like the bumpers.

He was nice about it. Sent me an email asking if I still wanted as not black but his shipping people were too quick and sent if before I was able to answer him.

He offered return but as it was not damaged would have been a waste to have him pay shipping 2 ways & get the part back. I told him I'd keep it. Had an idea today, hmmmm...
