It goes into neutral under moderate acceleration. I am glad I bought the warranty. I never buy extended warranties, but bought one for this car because of the 4V head problems. Now I really have to decide on a stall.

How many miles did you have on it when she bit the dust?

It is my understanding that with normal use (Ha Ha Who drives a MM normally?) the MM should be good for at least 100,000 miles. :beer:

87,000. I just got it not too long ago. I don't know how it was driven prior to me, but seemed to be well taken care of.

I haven't had it fixed yet. I am just babying it. As long as I don't jump on it it's okay.

well, we'll take this one away for $8.00 :D

check around for a used one- should buy you time for a few hundred bucks. have a quality trans shop (good luck finding one) check it out. it may not be as bad as you think. good luck

It is my understanding that with normal use the MM should be good for at least 100,000 miles. With reasonable use and proper maintenance, an MM is good for double that...
