About time i take Diabolical(My marauder lmao) to the shop!!....why you my ask?
Well since i missed Louisville:( i awarded myself by finally getting the chance to install the 4.10 gears.
Now let's see what's the big deal...lol
Any tips/hints on what to do and NOT do when first getting the gears installed? :)

If i can recall i got royal purple 75 140 i believe...i just remember it was a PITA to exchange the royal purple from 75 90 to 75 140 lol

Take it easy for the first couple of heat cycles to allow the gears to break in.

This is what ive heard from people, to take it easy within the first few miles of the gear install. So is it true i should take it easy for 300 miles?? :confused::what:

I took it easy on mine for about two hundred then I changedthe fluid and it was game on from there

Nah, Mobil 1 or Valvoline will do just as good. I used Mobil 1 75w140 Full Syn

Yeah, I've heard both ways. Personally, I started driving mine pretty hard right away and haven't had any issues, so maybe it is all in the install like you mentioned (my guy was a top notch wrench).

Nah, Mobil 1 or Valvoline will do just as good. I used Mobil 1 75w140 Full Syn

If you actually use your clutches like I do, they will chatter in three weeks or less using Mobil 1 unless you actually add friction Modifier.

I just used Ford diff fluid and friction modifier, I did have some binding on slow hard cornering when I did 31 spline axles, Cobra carrier , F150 spring for the clutch discs.
I did an extra bottle of Whale sperm (friction modifier)and Volia ! the corner tugging subsided , after I whipped her around for a while.

No you don't have to change fluid after break in. I have 30k on my 4.10's and never changed fluid. It's solid as can be. Even with a couple 1.6 60foot lunches.

And as far as break in I think I had almost 7 miles on it be for I beat on it. But it's your car do what you want.

Yo i dont even think i made it 1 mile lol. As soon as i left MO's i hit it all the way across Atlanta. No issues here

Didn't really get ti enjoy that much because there was some traffic, but when there was room...oooohhhhh man.......AMAZING lol i must say, it was worth it.
So far so good.. just gonna drive it a little longer so i can actually "break it in" some more ;)

Well now that the major mods i was going for are finally done..i can finally save up for that SC..if you want after Sunday i can let you try out the car to give you an idea for the 4.10s

About 3 miles south of County Farm Rd. & 64. Winfield. So quite a bit closer to you.

The girdle supports the carrier bearing caps under the WOT pressures to prevent early failure. Also gives some extra fluid capacity. And the reason I got one, easy-peezy drain & refill! :D

But i got a question, the jmod, to my knowledge only does hard shifts and it makes the tires screech at 2nd shift right?
Well yesterday when i was out enjoying the 4.10s my tires would screech at 2nd shift....i mean if thats normal for 4.10s why get the Jmod?? :confused:
