Some years back, 2005/6 the North Texas Marauders and Alamo Area Marauders were invited by the DFW SHO club, FordBastards, to a run on the Texas hill country roads.

We met above Austin and drove all over the hill country at speeds approaching the sound barrier.

The SHO group challenged us because all our activities seemed to be centered in parking lots and they wanted to see how the Marauder performed against their SHO's. They definitely showed us the way home. SID210SA was the only Marauder to keep them in sight, right Mike?

But it was a lot of fun and those Yamaha motors were real performers, The SHO is an agile car. We had a couple of other meets in that time frame at the Texas Motor Speedway.

Great write up. I had a '91 and '95 and your descriptions are very accurate... They had to be 5- speeds though!

The SHO's are a quick little car, slow off the line, but once moving :burnout:

I had a 94 for 9 years. She had a 3.2 with a 5spd manual.

If you buy one, but a manual. Auto's are slushboxes.
