Awhile back I posted that I had been hit (again) and needed a new rear bumper cover which I found out was almost impossible to locate. Out of the blue I got a PM from Motorhead350 sending me a link to a post about a wrecked MM that was being sold for parts. He suggested that the car was about an hour or so drive from his location, and that if I could arrange to buy the bumper, he could pick it up for me and ship it.
In the meantime, the local body shop located a bumper for my car, but I wanted a spare since these things are like gold.
I contacted the owner of the wrecked car, settled on a price (bargain!), and arranged with MH350 to go pick it up. He did, and then began searching for a way to ship it to me. Turns out that standard freight lines wanted over $300 to ship the thing. Finally found out that Greyhound bus would ship it for less than $50. MH350 wrapped it up real well and put it on the bus. About a week later I had a spare bumper.
Never could have happened without a really cool friend who I have never met! Thanks to Motorhead350 for all of his hard work.
Great folks on this site, but then there always have been!
