Oh dear lord.. My father not only bought one of those turd buckets (along with TWO Fuegos... :shake: ) but he divorced my mom, and left us in pretty much poverty and the keys to the LeCar... My mom had to push start daily for almost a year because we didn't have money for a starter. Two things I hate in this world since 8 years old, my dad, and the LeCar..

No need for sorry bud! I'm a happy person! I just resumed hating LeCars, got good meds and quit trying to care about relationships that never were.

Ahh, life simplified. Just. Like. That.

I remember looking at the LeCar at a dealership in Barrington. Brand new ones all in a nice row. Then walking away shaking my head at how poor the French were at designing anything mechanical. They realy did suck bad.

Ha Ha!

Marauder is #1 on the list!

BTW: AMC had a knack for crappy car names:

The Matador....WTF!?

The Pacer....NO, not The Racer...the Pacer; just enough to keep up, but never win!

The Gremlin....need I say more?

Just another look at things...back in the day, a girlfriend bought one of the first Le Car vehicles in Houston...white with red interior.
We drove the holy poop out of that thing...trips across the country, to galveston to drive in the surf along the beaches (could do that in places back then), and to countless football games in austin...never ever ever a problem with that machine...and it took some real punishment along the way...was very comfortable too.
Uh...BUT...alas, the next owner reported that on his first trip out of town...the motor fell out...
This with 60,000 or so miles though.
