I know it is brought up from time to time, but I didn't find what i wanted thru search. It's time for a battery for my Marauder..It has, I believe, a Advance Auto brand battery and I've had to jump it twice this month. I already planned to go back to Motorcraft, just not sure which CCA rated based on my use.

CCA 650 for 89.95
CCA 750 for 109.95
CCA 850 for 119.95

I believe the 650 CCA is the replacement. Do I need to up the CCA ? I don't drive it in the winter, I don't drive it daily, pretty much a weekend car April till Novemberish. Vortech equipped with standard pulley 3.6.

Unlike most things in life, with car batteries bigger is not always better.

To get more CCA in the same size package the plates are thinner, which makes them less resistant to vibration. If you don't have the need for a mondo battery, get the 650.

At my shop we use NAPA batteries...they are made by Exide, the battery I would use is a 7565 Battery, its 875 CCA. I would NOT buy their 84 month battery, they do not test as well as the 75 month and they are more expensive.
