help with brakelights

well before buying my 1998 crown victoria p71 I knew there was a problem with the brakelights. I replaced the switch, and the brakelights work, but for some reason they dont work when full brake is applied. if you apply just a little the brake lights come on, apply them anymore and they stop working. Somehow its losing the connection. Any ideas?

Loose wire at the switch or a bent switch.

That would be my guess as well.

I think part of the assembly may have been replaced and not put back together right maybe a wire ,I had to replace my shoe & pad for the e.b for the brake lights to work.
