That's what we all thought and lead to believe...

From what I read this might be a prequel kind of thing or just the fact fans loved Coulson so much they brought him back and are going to use the tv series platform to help introduce new characters who might have their own new movies down the road.

Looking at the preview, there is a anger footage in their if you look hard enough. Rumor has it they will explain Coulston being alive, but this does take place on the current phase two of the Marvel universe with prequel stories as well as post avenger plot lines

From the rumors I've read, the Avengers were told Coleson died to band them all together and he was moved to another area or place. Which works for me, cause I was peeved when he "died".
