something bizarre happened to me today...

While hanging out on the pier at the end of our main st today, one of my friend comes up to us with a worried look. He says a random women came up to him asking if he had "dub," when he didnt know what she meant she said "you know what I mean." and referenced Marijuana. It was a average women, maybe in her fifties, walking two dogs. So a few of my other friends walk over by her, and I pull up in my p71 and get out. Within seconds of us showing up she interrupts our conversation and says "hows it going, it looks like you guys are doing business?"
I said yeah, "yeah maybe, how about you, what are you doing here?" she said she actually happened to be looking to do some business, and wondered if I could help her out, and if I had what she wanted. I said sure! wait right here I'll call my buddy he has exactly what you need. I get out my phone, and hop into my crown vic and drive away. she then starts asking my friends if im a cop, if she should run etc. She then quickly walks away into the crowded farmers market. I contact the local police (after pulling over) and explain the situation. For a moment we had lost her, but minutes later we spotted her in a public garden sort of thing and inform the dispatch of her location. Soon two officers arrive in different vehicles. The really strange part was, the officers did not enter the garden, talked to her for MAYBE two minutes, and began to leave. One officer told us that they took down her name, although she denied everything. What really confused me was, The officers never verified her ID, nor checked it with dispatch. I cant help but feel like it was a sting. what do you guys think? LEOS?

What do you think that they could do, based on an anonymous call for, what ? "Solicitation to Do Something That Nobody Cares About Anymore" ? "Criminal Lack of Possession" ?

Possession of Marijuana is a very low priority for LE these days... I'm glad they finally legalized it in my state. (I don't/won't use it but is it really any of the .gov's business what adults choose to do to their bodies?)
