My passenger side window all of a sudden stopped working. Before the issue occurred, the window was working great. The window went down and came back up fast with no sounds or other issues, so I don't think it is the motor or regulator. What could it be??

It might not be the motor or regulator, but that's what I would check first. Once you're sure one of them is not the problem. Then you can concentrate on the switch or the power going to that window.

In the past I have found that the simplest answer is often the right answer.

O.k. thanks, I will try it out. The window doesn't work using the drivers side switch either. I also used the switch from the bad window and it didn't work, so I think it may be a power issue.

This sounds like the same trouble I've had on 2 other Fords an f-150 and a Mustang. Had to take the door panal off and tap on the window motor with a hammer. Sounds ruff but it worked. It's like the limit switch gets stuck if it evens has one.

Turn the interior lights on and watch the overhead console light while you try the window switch. If the lights dim you are getting power to the motor. While working the switch, hit the door panel on the inside (hard). You may free up the motor.

If the lights do not dim you are not getting power to the switch / motor.

I removed the door panel and gave the inside of the door a few hits, now the window is back to normal. Thanks a lot!!

It's amazing how many things can be fixed when you have the correct size hammer.

That pretty much confirms that the motor is bad....expect it to fail again, and I would replace it before it fails again because it's only a matter of time before it does.

Sometimes the window motor and regulator just get jammed.....

It may happen again.... it may not. I had a Ford Thunderbird that worked for 4 years before I had to replace the motor.

I've seen some last a long time, and I've seen some go out quickly. After spending many years with Ford, and in now in taxi fleet service....I would change it..I'm just sayin'.

i know this may sound crazy ...on hot days i have this happen to any of the four windows on mine . i run the a/c blowing on to windows and cool it with the hose after that works fine so when it gets hot out i bump my windows down just a little but not open. this works for me i think the black just gets so hot and with the wear in the window fasteners it causes things to jam

My driver's side usually jams when it's 80+ degrees.

They probably need a good lube job!

It's on my list as soon as I can find the time!

This just happened to me too. Disconnect the battery for a couple minutes, then reconnect it.Roll down drivers window then hit the passenger window & it will go up. It's like rebooting a computer, sounds crazy but it worked. Got the fix from a Ford master tech.

Time for a motor, unless you plan on keeping your window shut.
