Don't have any pics, but I did look at one pretty closely last weekend. Compared to my car with the Webaso aftermarket unit, I see the following differences:
1. The unit is the same as what's on my car which has a Webasto unit installed.
2. Obviously the roof console is shorter. Still has the same buttons/functions the earlier cars have. The moonroof buttons are better integrated into it. My buttons were put in the corner closest to the driver. Also obviously, miy console had to be shortened. They covered the cut end with a plate covered in extra headliner material. The '04 console is much better looking, and I'd order one for my car if they didn't retail for almost $500.
2. The outside appearance is a twin to mine. This means it has a molding around the outside of the opening.
3. The interior side of the opening is where things are different. The '04 has a plastic molding around the opening, where on my car they just wrapped the headliner material around the opening. Personally, I like mine better, but you may like the molding better, just depends on your taste.

Hope this helps;

According to the sunroof guru who put my roof in, the new "factory" units do have a headliner board which the fabric is glued to whereas any aftermarket units installed in the field just have the fabric stretched in place, not glued to anything. This should make for a somwhat cleaner install, but I have not seen a "factory" unit. The install on mine is so nice, I can't imagine the board could make much difference. I would like to have the factory style console, but not for the $.
