Very cool trunk badge. Did a similar thing to my 68 Mercury clone horn button. Found a 64 Park Lane horn button for 10 bucks on ebay. Merc had some cool trim stuff back in the day.

I saw that on ebay and thought it would be a nice fender emblem...I settled on this emblem to replace the factory one. Gonna try and get the latch hooked up too...

Hey now! I have had that emblem on mine for 8 yrs or more. So much for individuality. Guess I am going to have to buy up all the decent ones to keep you Jamokes from using them. :D

56-57 Mercury is all I know. It's not as big as I thought. The M part is smaller than the waterfall emblem already on the car.

When I saw yours when you were in Loosville I told you I was Looking for one for the grill. Buuuut, when I saw your's on the back, I knew I had to have one on the trunk. In thins case imitation is the sincerest part of flatery...:D I will give you credit whenever someone asks about it...;)

Ford numbers for floating M are:
M is BAE-6443525-A
gold V- BAE-6443600-A
Gods Head-BAE-43516-A
And MERCMAN, did they only come on the Cruiser???

Ran into a snag. To get the new badge to cover the holes I would have to mount it so high up you wouldn't see the god's head. My new plan is to mount it to a piece of aluminum that would be shaped to cover the holes. I need to find a design that would compliment the badge but still cover the holes and polish it.

The angle of the badge matches the angles on the backup lights which makes it very appropriate. I love the look. Very nice job!

Did you have your spoiler filled in or is that a Roush?

A nice set of these on the front fenders would complete the set...

So I did a little digging and found out that my badge was only on a 64 Marauder Montclair two door but not on the trunk. This badge would have been on the B pillar behind the rear window on the each side of the car. I wonder if there is a left and a right version.
