I would rather not replace my stock head unit. Does anyone know of a solution to add Bluetooth capability without going through the FM receiver? I was thinking that there should be a way to wire something through the Trunk mounted CD changer?

The money you would spend doing retro-fit you're better off getting a new deck.

I would like to listen to music with Pandora thru my Android phone. Phone calls would be nice too. I'm currently using one of those wire connections thru the tapedeck. It works, but it's clumsy.

I just installed the Parrot Mki9100 Bluetooth kit and ordered the custom harness from Quick Connect part number QCExp-1MK for MK Kits. It was all plug and play, mutes the speakers, plays bluetooth music from my phone and the voice recognition is perfect. I got to keep my OEM radio best of all

How much did that cost you?

It cost me 139.95 for the MKi9100 and 49.95 for the QuickConnect harness. The kits are available on Amazon, Radios and More and Quick Connect Products. I bought both items at Quick Connect and paid more than I should have.

So you spent all that to keep the crappy OEM radio, of which the FM will stop playing soon? You'd be surprised how much better sound you get with an aftermarket headunit or the Escape headunit.

Yeah I spent all that money to have bluetooth with the crappy stock radio. It works for me, streams my music, GPS directions and even displays "Phone" on the stock radio. I also integrated Sirius into the stock unit and all my steering wheel controls work without an adapter and no wires needed chopping, it took 15 minutes to install it and is easily uninstalled.

If you have the Escape radio with the 6 disk changer built-in would you need different components to make it work with BT, etc.

It should work with the same components I used. You have gray Phase 2 plugs, the harness tees in to your 24 pin existing radio plug.

I would like to find a way to Bluetooth or plug in my iphone into my stock radio. I have the 6 disc player and everything I have found are plug and play only without 6 disc player. The unit plugs in where player plugs in . Would be so nice if someone can tell how to make it happen with the 6 disc thanks

I have the 6CD and stock radio and the Parrot MKi9100 and QuickConnect ProductsQC-EXP-Mki harness worked perfect as previously mentioned. One end plugs into your existing 24 pin radio plug, one end plugs into the 24 pin receptacle on the radio and the other plug goes to the Parrot unit, the mic plugs into the Parrot box along with the Parrot disply. The remote is wireless and I stuck it to the dash below the Parrot display and the radio.
