Has anyone tried this?

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.prowl.torque&feature=search_result#?t=W10.

Seems like it can provide some useful info. Just trying to get opinions. Also, anyone have a preference as far as what OBD2 adapter works best with this?

Thanks!

Yea i have it. Super useful for pulling codes and monitoring different data. It has the ability to work with gps to get your 0-60 times and all sorts of other features. The bluetooth adapter i bought on amazon cost less than $20.

Which adapter did you buy? I've seen several different types with mixed reviews.

Thanks!

This is the one I ordered. I guess it was a hair over $20, but that is the same price I paid for it http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005NLQAHS/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie= UTF8&psc=1

I have this app too. It's neat and pretty handy. The readout isn't instantaneous, but with newer versions of Droid you will see quicker response times; when I updated my phone from 2.3 to 4.0.1, it was NOTICEABLY more responsive.

I bought the PLX Kiwi device they recommend on their website, but it's pretty clear that the adapters for 1/5th the price work just as well. I will note that it seems as though the device and app sync with my Camaro much more easily than they did with my Marauder ever did.

If nothing else, buying the cheaper adapter and Pro version of the app could possibly translate into the cheapest code reader/clearing tool available on the market, unless you count the cost of the Droid device as well.
