You may know him as Mike Audrey from trilogy

I was supposed to meet up with him on Friday and check out his wheels; he was a no show. I called a couple hours later and he told me he had some blood sugar issues, I wished him well and went on with my day. Today I called to see how he was and he informed me he was in the hospital but seemed confused as to why. I just went over to the motor city marauder site and someone posted he has had a stroke

Thoughts and prayers for MarauderMike for a full and speedy recovery.

I first met Mike at Marauderville III (MV3) in Detroit. Must have missed him at MV10 because he was staying at the hotel across the street.

My oldest son had a stroke less than 3 months after returning from deployment to Iraq in September 2005. He was 27 years old at the time. The stroke affected the sensory section of his brain and left him completely numb on his entire right side with no feeling at all. He said it was like someone drew a dotted line right down the middle. Absolutely no feeling to the right of the line. No smoking gun was ever found because he was in perfect health with none of the classic pre-stroke symptoms. Diagnosis: **** Happens !!! His initial recovery took nearly a year with lots of physical therapy. After nearly 8 years, he is back to about 99.9% as the brain continues to rewire itself to by-pass the 1/2 inch lesion on his brain caused by the stroke. Fortunately, his recovery has been near total.

Here's praying that Mike is also able to recover to full capacity as quickly as possible.

I just checked the OP and the link to MCM.net. Mike provided an update on Friday that he was home. Post#20. Good news.

I am now a believer in miracles. I'm home now and feeling about 90 percent.
Still having some eyesite and speech issues but seems to be coming around.

The doctors were prediciting a long recovery just a week ago but the support of
Family and friends I believe made the decision to be determined to revocer (Couldn't go the summer without Cruising.).

Got an email from Mike. He is doing great.

He figures he's back close to 95%. Went in to his 1st speach therapy session and was doing so good they told him he didn't need any more sessions.

I am new member, just read of your stroke. wishing you well & glad to read good news. Amazing how the brain can rewire itself, rerouting, compensating for any damage - healing. Doctors still do not understand it all. Prayers & well wishes help. I can tell from posts that you are well thought of and have many well wishers.

Just had back surgery a month ago... No limited360 treatment. Glad your home and doing ok...

Just for the record this thread goes back to when I had my stroke June 7th, I've been totally recovered since 10 days after the stroke , knock on wood. I am beyond lucky at this point in my life.

Oh my newbness thought this was something new... I'm doing well. Recovery is a slow thing for surgery I had is all. I'd expect by end of February to start of March I'll be ready to make that black car shine!
