The clear coat on my black MM is failing...Lots of white spots, mostly on the roof.I know about the recall etc....What should I expect to pay to have a quality repaint???Same factory color,no body work...How Much???

The boys at Twin's Autobody in Judsonia, AR, who do all of my restoration work shot me a price of $2750 for my DTR and that included removing the front and rear bumper covers, hood and rear deck lid, all door handles, molding, window trim, all lights, etc. paint (DTR paint ain't cheap) and reinstall.

I am in a rural location and they do super high quality work at a fraction compared to a metro area body shop. Bring it to Arkansas and leave it for a few days, they are two of the very best men you will ever meet and they will treat you right.

They have shot many vehicles for me and will accommodate exactly as you wish. Some of the locals think I am an employee I am working on so much of my own stuff there. If you would like to stay and help dismantle and replace parts they will let you get your hands dirty and call it sweat equity and lower price a little more.

Unfortunately, I will be waiting a few years before I go ahead and have them do my car, I want it out of DD service first......

Come on over, I will put you to work on my trucks while you wait!:D

That's a good price. Typcial estimates for a repaint from a quality shop range from $4,000 to over $6,000.

The price will depend on the labor rate the shop charges, prep work needed, materials used, etc. Best bet is to take it to a reputable shop(s) for an estimate.

And if possible, take a look at some work they've done on other cars.

No Marauders were sold in 2002.....

It affected 2003 black Marauders. It was reported there was a problem with the change between different color paints in the paint booth(s).

Hmm mine is #357 maybe they improved their screwups further down the line. The overall paint on these things sucks compared to imports!

Nope.

Mine was one of the last 50 '03s to come off the line, and I've got issues with the paint in several spots.

Body shop up the street wanted $300+ to just paint the S55 package on my taillights and backup lights. That is an awesom price. I may come to Ark. to get mine done...

Sounds like a road trip is needed some day.

My DTR is pretty darn good. I just need the front bumper redone. Too many rock chips.

Sent from The White House on taxpayers dimes.

DTR + 4.10's + Eaton swap = Wreeeeeeeeeeeeeeedom
