Was able to get my hands on two OEM black Marauder grills and make a badgeless. I wanted to keep my stock grill so I can change them back and forth if I wanted. It may not be the prettiest job, but I am proud of it.

Haven't noticed many detailed pictures especially of the backs of badgeless grills built, so I thought it would be good to share what I came up with.

I started with cutting out the six teeth needed, however I would recommend using three teeth from each side of the emblem of the donor:

I cut the teeth as close as possible to the housing so there would be extra material to cut away and form to meet up to the new housing:

A coping saw was the tool of choice to remove the teeth. On the grill to become the badgeless, I cut the teeth out higher to leave little stumps:

Then I fit each tooth to the stumps, cutting a little away at a time from each tooth to fit as close as possible. After that, I got some coat hanger and bent it to sit inside the backside of each tooth and left extra to hang over the edge of each tooth:

Painted the hangers black and used this stuff to glue them into the back of the teeth:

Took each tooth and bent the ends of the hanger to hold the tooth in proper position with the hanger pressed against the backside of the grill. It took a little time, but seems to hold the teeth in place very well:

Used this stuff to "weld" them in place. First the hanger got "welded" into the back of the grill. Let it dry (1hr.) then went around each tooth to stump and formed it as smooth as I could:

This skewer was very helpful in forming the water weld putty around each tooth and forming it:

One thing to note with the Marauder grill teeth are the top and bottoms. There is a different angle from the tooth to the housing on the top and bottom mounting.

Here's the top, which has a 45 deg. angle and then connects:

And the bottom:

All teeth in on the top:

And the bottom:

Overall so far:

Here's where I'm at as of now. Planning on carefully using a dremel and smoothing it out and then it's primer, paint and some clearcoat for the putty:

Will post pics of the final result. There are also additional pics in my supermotors account.

Very nice! I like your way of reinforcing the individual teeth to strengthen them.

Very nice Job , i found cutting the badge out just above and below the badge easier, shorter pieces to epoxy back in and easier to line up,just my 2 cents sorry for the hijack.

Thanks guys!

Finished the paint last night. I used a bottle of OEM Ford UA touchup to paint the waterweld spots after I primed them.

All done! :banana2:

$140 for both.

They were locally available and took about six months to find both of them. One was in good shape, the other had a broken mounting tab off the back.
