Has anyone installed L.E.D.s tail lights on their Marauder? Just wondering if these will fit our cars.

I've seen them in one off the Southern Marauder's cars. I can't remember his name but he had his car worked on at MO's. I though they looked outstanding.

They fit well and I like them alot! I wired up the back up lights in mine. The black strip looks to be just molded plastic, not paint, but not really noticeable.

Yes they are for a Crown Vic, hence the clear bottom part which is suppose to be for a amber turn signal bulb.

I had talked to DOOM about these a while ago and thought wiring up the clear section to be an extra back-up light would be a great idea.

My only problem is because it's a no-name china made unit how well are the led strips inside going to hold up and is one or more leds going to fail somehow and look really weird.

Interesting concept. I don't know how I feel about this. I'm on the fence. I like the extra back up light but I don't like it taking up some of the tail light space. I honestly like the full red tail light on the Marauder. And also, for folks that have the S-55 treatment, it's a moot point.

I've been having mine for more than 2 years now and they still work fine. You'll need to add 4 resistors to avoid the rapid flash associated with LED's. I added 4 6000K LED bulbs as back-up bulbs, and let me tell ya; It's bright back there!!

I don't understand why the S55 treatment would make a difference...You still have the two red strips that light up???

I am looking big time for LED tail lights that look cool. I read someplace but cant remember where that some one took the ones off of a Montego. But haven't been able to find it again.

I think you might be talking about me

I used OEM Montego LED tails to make my own factory looking tail lamp for my Marquis. I'm thinking of either making another set for my Marauder or even trying out the Marquis lamps themselves, but I'm don't think that would look right.

They even look cool during the day without the lights on

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but looks as if the Chinese are at it making LED tail lights for panthers. There are two different styles, although I can't find anything showing them installed on a car.

Also It looks as if you can't purchase 1 set, they want to sell to distributors only. Min of 10 sets..

Don't know. You have to contact them for pricing. Actually there are several different posts for these, the ones I linked on here actually do accept 1 pair min orders... hmmmm.

IF the vendor doesn't have an import license in China you can't return the product. Chinese customs will destroy it.

Any chance you can show or explain the wiring process and anything else required to function correctly? Do they go brighter when the brakes are applied?
I'm drying to have that new car LED tail light look.
Someone make us a kit please!

Yes after the conversion the tail, stop, and signals are all LED,

Very far from plug and play...In short I had to dissect the Montego lamps and transplant the LED panel after careful trimming to fit into the Marquis lamp. In addition you have to either modify the board or add your own side marker red LED's to keep it legal. Lastly you have to add either resistors or an electronic flasher in order to have the lights flash properly ( I prefer the electronic flasher)
